wall mount air conditioning

Today, we can find many air cooling appliances with a wide variety of brands, designs, models, sizes, and so on. And we usually get a lot of choices with more affordable prices during “ON-season” (summer). This situation is beneficial to customers and will create good competition among manufactures to offer and produce better and better units that not only superior in energy saving but also more friendly to the environment. The variety types, sizes, and models of air conditioning unit are basically to accommodate the various specifications of different requirements.

Well, wall mount air conditioner units are still being popular at this day. Like other common home appliances, they also have pros and cons that you should concern before making deal! As the name suggests, they come with excellent and elegant design that able to be mounted on the wall! This design is beneficial on space saving and enhance the interior looking of the room. Most of them are also equipped with high quality ac filter and, ductwork mechanism is not required in here, so they are ductless unit.

Therefore they can work more efficient and with high quality air filter will be so helpful for individuals of your family’s members who suffer from allergy because of not-hygienic or bad quality air output from the conventional air conditioning! Moreover, the installation cost is not as expensive as you think! If we compare to the installation cost of central AC, the installation of wall mount air conditioners is relatively more affordable.

One thing that you should know, they use the split technology! Therefore they usually consist of two main units; outdoor unit and indoor unit. Compressor and condenser are usually housed into the outdoor unit. Therefore, the split AC unit will work much quieter in the room. Indoor and outdoor unit are connected with a proper pipe.

In line with air cooling technological developments, wall ac models can work better and better in efficiency performance, especially if we compare to their older counterparts! Most of them now come with more modern and better energy efficiency rating like higher value of SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio), modern inverter technology, and Energy Star approval from EPA. The higher SEER indicates more efficient on consuming the energy (require less energy to operate the system). In addition, theoretically the SEER value can be calculated by dividing the BTU capacity of the unit (cooling output on its normal annual adoption) with the watt hour electric energy input.

And although wall-mount air conditioning units require more complicated installation procedures (like procedure while creating a hole in the wall to insert refrigerant pipe), which make the installation process be slightly more difficult than the installation of portable ac models or window ac types, but we don’t need to remove or store or re-install them during OFF season (coldest days of autumn and winter)

The last, for additional information, some of them that are designed for residential use usually referred to as mini split systems or ductless systems. And on the other hand some of them for industrial or commercial uses (larger units) are commonly called as packaged terminal air conditioners or PTAC-s.
