a portable air conditioning

An air conditioner device that can be moved easily is a portable air conditioner. Yes’ it can be moved from one place to another place practically. Therefore, sometimes many people use it to cool a certain space of the larger room such as living room or even a warehouse. This means it will cool a specific space of the room without needing to cool the entire house first. It usually uses evaporation principal with the combination of Freon technology. But, there are now also available some of them that come with non-Freon technology (r410a refrigerant)!

As well we know, warehouses usually have large size. Big size areas will require high energy to be cooled. With the portability feature of portable air conditioners, they become popular choice to complement an existing central air conditioning unit in order to use the energy more efficient that eventually will be helpful to encourage the lower utility bills for each month. There some reason why you should try and use a portable air conditioner. Below are some of those reasons:

First, let us discuss about the energy consumption

Many people use air conditioners to make their room cool when summer comes. Most of the device use electricity to supply the energy. And in fact, they can run up to seventy-fifty hours every year. So, they will require lot electricity. One of variables to be parameter of the efficiency performance of them is EER.

EER is Energy Efficiency Rating; it is the ratio of British thermal units in per hour. The device which has 7-9 of EER can be classified into units that can work more efficient. So, higher value of EER indicates more efficient performance of the unit.

Discuss about sound, is it noisy?

Using portable air conditioners is noisy enough, particularly if they are not installed correctly. But the right maintenance and the proper installation we eliminate that unfriendly noise! Therefore, it is so important to check and consider the level of decibel (lower value of decibel indicated more quiet performance). Read also the owner’s manual guidelines of your unit for more detailed information!

Discuss about venting!

Venting is one of the important for cooling system. And most of portable air conditioning units must be vented properly in order to make sure they will run properly. You should know that basically there are two major types of venting mechanism of portable air conditioners; that are single and double of hose. Both have pros and cons. Some people prefer to use single hose than double hose! But other people prefer to use double hose than single hose.

About unintended of water condensation

Most of cooling devices will result water condensation (byproduct of air cooling process). Portable air conditioners have two popular types on how to remove the water condensation. First, they are designed with water-tray that has function to collect the water condensation and user must keep it not overflow otherwise the machine will shut down automatically.

Second, they are designed with smart automatically water-evaporative technology which will remove (evaporate) the water condensation automatically without involving manual assistance. This second type is usually priced more expensive than the first type!

And finally talking about the price!

Their price is much cheaper than if you choose to install central unit! You can purchase them around $300 – $ 500. The price is usually determined by the brand and size. In order to accommodate the different requirements of cooling capacity, like other regular window units, they are also available in a wide variety of sizes:
