  1. The first step is by checking the condensation line, why? Because there are many cases that the poor performance of condensation line can lead to AC dripping problem! You can find it usually near of the compressor (outdoor unit). Normally, the drip should be produced constantly when the system working. The pipeline (or PVC pipe) is used to connect between the indoor unit and the outdoor unit. And the condensation drip usually is formed in the condenser then will be transferred to the outside.
  2. After ensuring the performance of the outdoor condensation line is well, then move to next step! Check the performance of condenser. Commonly a drip pan is already installed under condenser. The drip pan has function to catch and collect the excessive leaks or drips. So, if you see that the drip pan is filled with the not-normal amount water then it is better to clean or replace the condensation line! In addition, the condenser usually is located in several positions like in the attic, closets, utility rooms, etc.
  3. Then check the indoor condensation line. Be careful when removing the cap. The clogged problem can be found in this procedure. It can be indicated if you see water overflows when removing the cap! And make sure that there is no build up of clogged with algae!
  4. Removing clogged (especially clogged with algae) usually is not simple task, particularly if you use the ordinary water. Therefore you can try with bleach mixture and warm water. But if you think this method is still not effective to remove the clogged completely then you can try with plumber’s snake!
