1. First, preventing the unwanted electrical incidents, make ensure the electrical disconnect box of the unit is in turn off mode.
2. Next, you need the refrigerant recovery machine to recover all refrigerant. This process usually will always need the refrigerant hose connection between port and machine and recovery tank. Getting more detail information, you can read in the manufacturer’s instructions of the recovery machine.
3. Open the cover of electrical service box by using the nut driver to remove the screws. It is required because there are available some modes that share the compressor access with this box.

9. Use the acetylene or O2 torch to heat the solder joint to the bottom of refrigeration line with the result that solder drips or melts. Do with the same procedure when heating the top refrigeration line! Don’t forget to use pliers when taking the refrigeration line. As additional tip, by removing the bottom refrigeration line first is so helpful to minimize or avoid the accident risk of skin burns.
10. Then you can use the wet rap to cool the solder connections faster but better you let them cool down naturally.
11. And finally, now you can try to lift the air conditioner compressor properly from the unit!
